What is a Sinewave UPS?

A sinewave UPS provides protected equipment with a pure sinewave output that is most similar to that of AC utility power while in battery mode.  Certain types of sensitive electronic equipment require this type of power to operate properly.   Most sinewave UPS products are also line-interactive as they operate on standard utility power and have built-in voltage regulation circuitry to adjust for minor voltage fluctuations without using battery power.   If all incoming power is lost, the UPS automatically switches to battery mode.   MINUTEMAN’s SmartSine Series, Enterprise Series, and XRT Series are all line-interactive true sinewave UPS products.
